Surf on the south coast can be described as somewhat inconsistent, so many people choose a board that will perform in many different types of wave. The secret to any Surfboard to be used in Britain is "Not too thin". Floatation is very important when the waves are less powerful, and our best selling boards are Mini Mals or their newer version, "Funboards" or "Dolphin-Nose". These boards give the rider the ability to catch small waves easily but also ride well in the larger "Storm" surf we encounter in the Winter Months.
Likewise, fishes and shortboards need to be floaty too, with 6'6" to 6'10" our most popular sizes.
